"I really enjoyed my stay at Playa Los Arcos. I booked a renovated room and it was worth it. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed. The room was at the side of the hotel so I had both a partial ocean view as well as a view of the street (which was very entertaining at night - there was lots going on and great party vibe during Semana Santa). The AI is good value for the price paid - it's not a 5* with room service, fine steaks and lobster, and tip shelf drinks - but you're not paying for that at this price point. The food seems to be mostly Mexican dishes and it is very fresh and well prepared. The poolside drinks aren't that strong (probably to avoid people overdoing it in the pool), but the drinks from the restaurant bar are fantastic - especially the mango margaritas! The guacamole and chips from the poolside snack bar are also great. There are chairs and umbrellas available to hotel guests on the beach. I am not sure if food and drink service is available on the beach for AI guests but it's easy enough to get up and get your own. The location is fantastic. The hotel is charming and the pool and restaurant are gorgeous with a great view of the beach. All of the staff I interacted with were courteous and helpful. I hope to stay at Playa Los Arcos again soon!"

"Our second trip to PV and Grand Miramar and we have fallen in love all over again. If you’re looking for an up tempo resort with lots of people and activities- this is not for you. This is luxury suites and residences. It is typically very quiet, small crowds and a mix of couples and families. The staff is what makes this place extra special. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home, that you are safe and taken care of. The free breakfast is a full buffet of Mexican and American options. Ask for the green juice- it’s worth the $45 pesos. The pool areas are beautiful and relaxing and views for days. The pool up top is adults only and has some of the best views in Puerto Vallarta! Not to mention Edgar- who will take care of you and treat you like a king/queen. We booked a couple of excursions- Rhythms of the Night and a lunch at Ocean Grille. Both we reserved before coming and both were fantastic! We typically hit the Malecon and shop and eat out at night. We tried Andales- not the best food but fantastic staff and fun environment downstairs. And we ended the trip with Panchos Takos- our absolute favorite! Be prepared for a wait! Al Pastor is the only thing you need to order- I promise. Puerto Vallarta is quickly becoming our favorite vacation destination and I’m not usually a fan of repeating vacation destinations. We are already planning our next trip and can’t say enough about how safe we felt, how nice everyone is and how fun and welcoming PV is! "
